Exactly what sort of meditation did the Buddha apply when he came to his great ‘awakening’/nirvana? e.g. vipassana meditation, insight, transcendental, walking, zen? Also, I am curious, did the Buddha attain enlightenment ‘all at once’ or in other words, during the same span of time or did he experience true ‘awakening; in various short bouts of time over a long period?
